Gail Davenport

Gail Davenport leads the World Bank Institute team which designs and manages challenges. The team is exploring how to use challenges to invite broad participation in addressing development issues. The most recent challenges have involved apps related to development, apps related to climate change and case studies of global best practices in procurement reform. Gail has a background in project finance, and has worked with the World Bank Group in several Regions, including a three year assignment in Ghana. Prior to joining the Bank Group, she worked for Canada's export credit agency.
